The Career Development and Entrepreneurship Unit of Universitas Brawijaya was previously called the Job Placement Center (JPC) which was founded in 1995. In 2013, based on the Rector’s Decree Number: 199 / SK / 2013 dated April 24, 2013 the name of JPC was changed to JPC and Tracer Study because there is a development in the Tracer Study field.

Starting in 2015, it changed its name to the Career Development and Entrepreneurship Unit based on the Rector’s Decree Number 188 of 2015 dated 29 April 2015 concerning the Organizational Structure of the Career Development and Entrepreneurship Unit replacing the structure of the Job Placement Center and Tracer Study.
